Istoris a creative exploration of the local working class heritage of Treneere Estate in West Cornwall. Working with an artist and the local community to explore, record and celebrate often overlooked or underrepresented local heritage and cultural stories. Collaboration with our wonderful community has been the underpinning value of this project. Young people, families and individuals have co-created an extraordinary ‘Community Map’, which is rich with stories, memories and images from people who have often complex and varied historical relationships with the area. There are plaques and QR codes installed around Treneere for passers by to scan, link with our online exhibition and explore Treneere’s working class heritage and cultural history.
